ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF DELHI, A SLEEPY VILLAGE HAS BECOME A BURGEONING FINANCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL CENTER.

Once a peaceful agricultural village in the Aravalli Hills along the Delhi-Jaipur highway, Gurgaon has, within the last few decades, rapidly transformed into one of India’s most modern cities. Populated by malls, high-rises, and young people with money to spare, Gurgaon represents new Indian luxury.

A synthesis of Persian, European, and Indian styles and a symbol of Mughal power, the fort’s palatial buildings, majestic pavilions, and elegant gardens are surrounded by a 10-meter-deep moat.
